July 2006 was the hottest month in Austria?s weather history. It as well had to offer some perfect paragliding conditions. Christoph had the rear pleasure to fly with his Omega 6 over the breathtaking scenery of the glacier covered peaks of the Gasteiner and Rauriser valley. Take off was at the ?Stubner Kogel?. The following Peaks had been over flown: Schareck, Rauriser Sonnblick, Hocharn and Tischlergruppe. Practically no Wind and high cloud base made this flight most enjoyable. To ascent of the same peaks by foot would have take days; by paraglider this only took a couple of hours. The maximum height of the day was 3400m right above the Ankogel peak. |
