Most of the beautiful terrain which is shown in some of the pictures was shot at the West Karakul mountain range about 100 km south of Bishkeg. Bishkeg is the capitol of the Republic of Kyrgiztan where you can find both the ancient culture of the Kyrgiz Nomads and some ruins of the former soviet regime.
