24th: The Baja peninsula
is almost 800 Miles long
and its width varies between
20 and 60 Miles. Its just
like a finger pointing southward
into the ocean. All of a
sudden the guys from S o
G ran out of land to travel
on. They had reached the
most southern tip of Baja.
Could this have been the
end of their trip? |

September
22nd: Primarily seeking
the sports adventure the team
initially wasn't expecting any
wildlife as diverse and pristine
as this. Baja had some pleasant
surprises. |

21st: Among surfers Baja
California is famous for its almost
untouched beaches and its great
waves. Although the guys are still
better climbers than surfers they
had finally started to pick up
some basics… |

20th: It's amazing how
the thin red line, that marks
the US boarder in our road atlas
can make such a big difference
in the way people live. S o G
crossed the boarder in Tijuana
to discover the beautiful but
unfortunately very poor Mexico.

19th: Two entries ago we mentioned
the Weather god. Should have knocked
on some wood, because he really messed
up the guys' plans! Although the S o
G Team
was looking so much forward to attempting
a big volcano in Mexico it seems
like they are better off sticking to
lower altitude sports because of severe
hurricane danger. |

16th: There is just something
very special about combining the elements
Air, Water
and Rock in one spot. The guys found
what they were looking for on a great
beach, where they could surf, climb
and most of all: fly! |

September 15th:
Even though weather and swell was still not
as good as the team was hoping,
the power of nature was strong enough to mess
up Chris' surfboard. Let's
just hope that this was the only thing the
weather god wants to break during
the US 04 trip. |

September 13th:
Surfer Neil told the Team to be patient and wait
for the swell. Meanwhile the wind was good though
and there was time to fly. The soaring at Zuma Beach
is small but it's one of its kind. |

11th: Finally the guys hit the fantastic
coastline of Malibu. Still travelling along some
lonely dirtroads looking for some swell the guys
ran into the mysterious surfer Neil who will show
them some good sites as soon as there are some waves.

10th: It's no secret that this Trip is also
a movie production. What better place to do some
work for a movie can you imagine that Hollywood,
CA!? Luckily the S o G Team has some friends at
the Reality Check Studios so the had great fun working
on some effect shots… |

September 8th: Passing
through the Gates of the Valley a climber feels like a
pilgrim who has reached his final destination. The great
number of excellent climbs leaves the Yosemite Valley
Bigwall Mecca number one! Its history played an important
role in both, the development of aid and free climbing.
The Lost Arrow Spire, that was first ascended by John
Salathé is among the most spectacular settings
of the Valley. The S o G Team really enjoyed the descent
from the spire, an airy 80 foot Tyrolean traverse |
