July
8th:
It
has
been
done.
All
bits
and
peaces
have
come
together.
3D
animation,
motion
Graphics,
music,
sound...
Long
months
of
work
in
the
editing
suite
are
over.
All
the
mastering
has
been
done
as
well
as
the
color
correction.
The
movie
is
now
finally
completed!
We
can
tell
you
this
much:
The
film
will
kick
some
ass.
But
the
post
production
process
is
not
over
yet,
still
a
lot
to
do,
like
the
DVD
production...

3
months
of
hard
work,
loads
of
research,
intense
meetings,
computer
problems
and
long
working
hours
have
passed
since
the
beginning
of
the
3D
animation
process
of
Crossing
the

But
the
hard

was
worth
it.
The

a
superb
map
animation
to

April
27th:
We’ve
been
waiting
for
this
moment
for
quite
a
while
and
we’re
very
happy
to
announce
the
official
title
of
the
movie
that
was
made
out
of
100
hours
of
US_04
footage.
Your
votes
were
great
help
in
finding
a
title
that
matches
the
flair
and
the
content
of
the
movie:
CROSSING
THE
LINES
(CTL)
In
this
film
you
will
find
a
lot
of
scenes
and
elements
that
have
got
to
do
with
this
title:
Crossing
the
Lines
–
Meaning
the
geographic
boundaries
and
borders.
Crossing
the
Lines
–
Meaning
that
this
movie
is
a
cross
over
/
multi
sports
project
Crossing
the
Lines
-
Meaning
that
we
go
maybe
a
little
further
than
average.
An
then
of
course,
there
is
cool
lines
when
you
talk
about
rock
climbing
and
surfing
and
so
on.

January
24th: It has been a while
since the last update on the
post production online diary
and you might have gotten the
impression that not much has
happened in the postproduction
process…
But behind the scenes a lot
has happened and the post production
is fully in progress. 96 hours
of footage have been captured,
the editing is proceeding, bits
and peaces are being put together.
Here some work impressions…
by the way we have not forgotten
about the promised new trailer…
it is coming… |

part of the official US 04 trailer
which was - fort he first time ever
- shown in public at the first international
Mountainfilm Festival in Dresden,
Germany. The feedback of the audience
magnificent and this is why we are
anxiously looking forward to the day
you all will get the chance to see
this piece of art. Until then: Stick

November25th:
It has been a while since the last posting
took place in this section. In the meantime
a lot of preparations for the post production
process have been made. Going through almost
100 hours of footage is taking some time,
but the outcome so far looks very promising.
During the last couple of weeks a new trailer
has been edited and will be available soon.
For this purpose new music is being composed
as well as some voice over recordings have
been recorded in the studio. We will keep
you posted! |

October 25th:
The Invisible man: Throughout the production phase
there was one man who played an important role but
was never seen so far. There are 2 reasons why:
One may be his camouflage shirt with the writing
"Ha, now you can't see me", but the more
reasonable one might be, that he was only working
behind the camera.
Thomas Klünsner joined the S o G Team as an
additional camera man for the US 04 movie shoot.
The whole project was pretty demanding as far as
photographic and climbing skills are concerned but
being a climber himself he could cope with this
task. |
